How to remove permanent ink stains from carpet moisten the ink stain with either rubbing alcohol or non oily hairspray. Once the area is stain free dab the area with a towel dipped in lukewarm water. First thing first dampen the ink stain with rubbing alcohol. Repeat the process until the stain is transferred to the towel.

Apply enough to cover the stain and allow it to soak down about half an inch. Then rinse it with plain water. Once the alcohol has soaked for a minute take a clean rag and begin blotting more ink from the stain. To remove ink from carpet wet a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stain.

Then lightly blot the stain using a white cloth. Do it until the ink mark is gone. Blot everything and repeat the procedure again. Pour some carpet cleaning liquid or any strong stain remover only make sure they have a foaming action.

Keep blotting for 30 minutes so the alcohol has time to dissolve the ink. Touching the fiber might further grind in the ink then apply a spot remover or carpet cleaner with foaming action to lift up. When the ink is gone rinse your carpet with a warm water vinegar solution to prevent damage from the alcohol. The alcohol will penetrate the stain but it can also go deeper and harm the padding under the carpet if you are not careful.
